Principles and Practice in Difficult Venous Access
This short course will provide participants with the knowledge to assess people with difficult venous access and skill to insert peripheral intravenous catheters for infusion therapy, blood sampling and or peripheral blood culture collection using assistive technology such as ultrasound guidance. This short course is delivered by clinical experts in vascular access.

Evan Alexandrou is a Clinical Associate Professor with the School of Nursing at the University of Wollongong and a Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Hospital where he coordinates the internationally renowned Central Venous Access Service.
