Telehealth services have quickly disseminated across Australia and overseas during 2020. Thrust to the forefront of medical care – thanks to the physical distancing measures of the pandemic – telehealth has become the new normal for many. However, as this service has been rolled out, there are many elements of patient care that have been required to keep pace.
One such area, is remote monitoring of patient data. This would have been difficult in the past but with the advancement of consumer technology in the home, new possibilities are arising with the tap of a screen on a smart phone.
Yet the question remains: in this digital age, how do we integrate collection of remote patient data into medical service delivery? And how do we make this process consistent and simple for all users?
